Jon Adelung, born in El Paso Texas in 1979, is inspired by the wonders of the never-ending universe of cartoons, science fiction and movies. Much of his inspiration comes from old cartoon pop artists Peter Max and Heinz Edelman. He is also influenced by artists such as Bob Ross, Andy Warhol, and Jean- Michele Basquiat. AstroPop is the culmination of years of constant painting, drawing and creating a world that is vast and full of life.Jon's work has been exhibited at the Bridge Center of Contemporary Art, Lola Art Gallery,The Hive Gallery and more. His work was also featured in Zombieland, a film shot in and around Atlanta.
