"Raw and Fearsome"

Opening Saturday May 1st
8-11pm

Erin Bassett of the Plastics Aztecs will be in the gallery with awesome new work concerning fear and our reactions to it. "Raw and Fearsome" implies big, loud, deadly, uncooked, rough and powerful...hence our excitement about the show.

Quick info about Erin; she is an Atlanta native who, along with her art collective, founded SuperFuturism. She hopes to develop super-time consciousness powers and to proliferate the de-conception of time through exercises in simultaneous time-thought perspectives.

We have the event on Facebook for you so click away and RSVP.

Just a quick one...

Hi all! Are you ready for the weekend?

Just wanted to show you guys a few things about our current show, "We Are Going to Eat You, Too".

Ready, Steady, Go!

First off, MINT wants to thank Eric Weber for the superb job of master curator of the recent show "We Are Going to Eat You, Too". The gallery looks great...and if you didn't get a chance to see it, the show will be up for another week. Here's the set on flickr, and if you've taken some photos let us know. We love to see you guys excited about the art.

This is what we've got planned for you guys this weekend. It's going to be fun!

Friday: We have another wonderful music show brought to you by Walk to Run Records. Travis and Tracey of WTR have been doing an amazing job and I'm really excited about the bands playing this time around.

Doors open at 8:30 and the music starts at 9pm. Cover charge is only $4 and we will have the donation bar stocked and ready.

Saturday: We are throwing a fundraiser party for the local indie film, Thrall. There will be a cover charge of $5, and all proceeds go to the production of the film. Wait, there's more...there will be raffles, giveaways, great music, and Jello shots! If that doesn't sound like a good time, I don't know what does! So come out and hang with the MINT gang as well as the cast & crew of Thrall.

Have a lovely week and we hope to see you this weekend!

Check it out!

We want to first bring your attention to the issues facing the GCA. Please take action and do what you can to keep the GCA going.

Secondly, take a look at the press for our upcoming show on Saturday, April 17th. Help support your local art community and visit us tomorrow night, 8-11pm.

Thanks!

MINT Presents "We Are Going to Eat You, Too"

Opening Saturday April 17th 8-11pm

Eric Weber visits us again with a sequel to his highly successful and entertaining "We Are Going to Eat You" show that debuted in 2009.

Weber is curating this eclectic show featuring all new artwork from local Atlanta artists, as well as artists from all over the country. Each piece is inspired by the world of cult cinema, either a genre or a specific film. So it's certain that there will be some unusual things hanging on our walls, and we can't wait for you guys to see.

Here's the Facebook event so you can RSVP. We hope to see you there!
